I have just finished a 2 week Spanish course at the Whee Institute and couldn't recommend it highly enough!! All of the team & teachers at Whee are great and very welcoming. The reason we went for Whee was because of the smaller personable learning environment vs a large international school. The whole team created a community feel and there were extensive extra curricular activities as an optional extra. I was impressed with the lesson preparation & hand outs and the lessons are tailored to the wants and needs of each class. If I had more time in Bogota I’d definitely spend another week or two here

Whee Institute exceeded the expectations I had for a summer Spanish program in every way possible. I was a student for 6 weeks and advanced my Spanish level significantly. I'm not perfect, but I am amazed that I picked up so much in such a short period of time. All the teachers are amazing, but I had Camilo, Marie, Gisela, Lorena, and Angela and really appreciated their willingness to customize material to my needs so I could improve as much as possible. Whee is popular with backpackers and other travelers, but it's also great for students of all ages and levels. The process they use to promote learning and also to meet the individual needs of each student (whether it be in group or private lessons) is so amazing. On my last day, I was very emotional as I was excited to go back to my friends and family in the US, but I was having a difficult time leaving the new friends I made among everyone at Whee. I also have to say that Carolina and Lisa were extremely helpful in making sure the social atmosphere in the school is friendly and also promotes language and cultural learning. They were happy to answer any questions I had about literally anything.Overall, I have nothing but great things to say about Whee. I went to learn Spanish for work and was worried about what school to choose, how it would go, what the homestay would be like. If you're like me, stop worrying and just choose Whee - for 1 week or 8 - the price they charge is INCREDIBLE for the amazing value of education and the wonderful atmosphere. Stop second guessing yourself and make a decision that will enhance your trip, but also your life with the skill of speaking Spanish!

I had a great time studying here. Whee teaches students Spanish in a more practical way. Focusing on games and conversation, I learned more here than I had even imagined. I came to study the verbs from the past but got a lot more. I even made a few friends I will very likely be in contact with for years to come. I took group and private lessons -which is a lot for one visit but I really believe I am coming away better than before. The staff is awesome. It’s located centrally in a decent neighborhood, I was always a short walk from my hostel.

I was in Colombia for almost 70 days and it was to learn and practice Spanish for my job. So I needed Spanish for a specific matter. Before going to Colombia, I had done some research about other native Spanish speaking countries and Whee Institute was one of the reason for me to get to Bogotá, Colombia to learn Spanish.I studied Spanish at Whee Institute for 7 weeks and I can't even thank enough for all the efforts they'd shown. I had some Spanish courses before getting there but I decided to revise earlier subjects as well.The idea of having a different professor every 2 weeks made it possible for me to experience different methods of each. 4 different teachers with all the different new ways of learning Spanish......These people love what they are doing and you can feel it right when you get into Whee Institute.Moreover, the flexibility is another plus when it comes to managing classes. I needed morning classes and they sorted it out for me. The methodology they have is mostly focused on students and they have all the necessary materials to enrich teaching and make learning process much easier. You, as a student, are involved in the class.And don't you worry, they can all speak English in case you need it.To the people looking for a Spanish course in Colombia, go to Bogotá and visit Whee Institute. You won't regret at all.After 7 weeks at Whee, it felt quite hard leaving a loving family behind and I believe I'll be there in Colombia thanks to what Whee has done for me teaching Spanish.

Whee Institute es un lugar super chévere para aprender español. Todos los profes son muy amables y divertidos. Los coordinadores son muy útil y planean actividades muy divertidos! Tuve una experiencia excelente y definitivamente recomendarlo.

An excellent way to learn Spanish through immersion & formal class time. With three or four hours of formal study per day, the institute offers activities before or after class to further practice your language skills. You also have the chance to interact with other people who are in country for the same reason. All of that adds up to a solid experience that builds linguistic ability through life experience and personal interaction, while still leaving time to explore the surrounding area in your own time.I intend to return in about six months to continue my progress, and I'd especially recommend it to anyone with a measure of Spanish skill who is looking to take that Spanish to the next level of excellence!
