La Mesa Food Tours

Had an incredible time with my boyfriend on La Mesa's Bogota street food tour! It was such a unique experience, combining delicious Colombian foods like empanadas, fresh fruit, tamal, ajiaco, and arabica coffee with a walking tour of La Candelaria's landmarks and history. Lina, our guide, was amazing—super friendly, knowledgeable, and a true foodie! She even customized some food stops so we could try new dishes. Highly recommend this tour for a memorable and tasty adventure in Bogota!

Primero descubrimos la Comuna 13 desde el impresionante mirador del recorrido del metro cable para adentrarnos posteriormente en ella y recorrerla a pie, conociendo su economía colaborativa , probando su diversidad gastronómica y su street food y descubriendo el contexto social , histórico y evolutivo gracias a las explicaciones amenas e interesantes de Juan Ángel!

Our Cartagena tour guide Belkin was absolutely wonderful! She was vibrant, funny, super knowledgeable, and really loved her job. Belkin showed us how to buy fruit from the street carts (something I never would have done on my own) and also took us to a few food stands for arepas and seafood “cocktail” (places I never would have stopped at on my own). There was a candy festival going on where we stopped and ate special local desserts. We also got photos with the Palenque ladies, and ate delicious bread from Panbono. Belkin also recommended several restaurants and bars which we tried later in the week, and she gave us handy info about how to buy trinkets from the street vendors. We never would have known to check out Getsemani without Belkin, and it became one of our favorite places to explore. Thank you so much Belkin! We learned so much, and you gave us the tools we needed to feel confident in the city. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Incredible tour with the “Buena Semilla Foundation” and Lina organizing it. Very well organized and safe. I highly recommend it! Eye-opening and fulfilling experience.

Our Bogota Street Food tour with Lina was one of the highlights of our trip to Colombia! We visited 6 or 7 spots around the La Candelaria and tried different types of local cuisine, from fruits and juices to soup and fried snacks. Lina's knowledge of the different types of cuisine was top notch. We also learned a lot about the history of Bogota and culture of the area. What made this tour even more special was the personal connection we had with Lina.We also did a food tour in Cartagena with Liz and it was equally as fantastic.If you're going to Colombia, don't miss out on a food tour with La Mesa Food Tours!!
