We did a walk at 3 pm with the dogs and one of the guys. It was very much fun to visit and swim in the river with the dogs. Also we got a lot of explanation about the training of the dogs, very interesting! We loved the experience!!

It's great to see such happy and well trained dogs run by some awesome people. Fran and Miguel (and the others) take excellent care of the animals and even treat the animals in the area outside of the shelter. I highly recommend supporting this place, they put a lot of effort and passion into a noble cause.

This is the place to be in Palomino!The dog shelter is run by the very passionate duo Fran and Miguel. They truly love what they do and that authenticity shows in all of their tours.I went on the night hike towards Sendukuaj, an indigenous village in the Sierra Nevada. 5 dogs walked with us, and 1 horse carried all our food and luggage. We hiked in the dark, climbed hills and crossed rivers. In the village we cooked a rustic dinner, shared stories with the indigenous people and slept in a hammock surrounding a fire.It was an adventure of a lifetime. I full-heartedly recommend any of their activities!The amazing thing is that the money goes towards sterilization and rescuing of street dogs, and not in the pockets of big tour companies.

This is the loveliest place ever! We fell in love with the dogs and the owner was so nice and passionate! We would always recommend to visit for a coffee or a walk or both :-)

Dogshelter Palomino
Recently opened Dog cafe. You can go on dog walks with them, or just sit in the cafe and play with the dogs. The dogs there are rescued and then put up for adoption when they're ready. The guys who run it are super nice the coffee/juices are good and they have cakes too.It's a 20 min walk from the main part of Palomino, but it's worth it.

Such a wonderful place!! The dogs are all so loved, hearing about some of their rehabilitation stories was magical. We also did the walking tour which I would highly recommend, I got to know a little more about the culture and local area whilst also walking with 6 adorable pups. Either the cafe or the walking tour (or preferably both) is a must do in Palomino!

You have to visit the dog shelter when you are in Palomino. Go a walk in the morning or in the afternoon, donate to these lovely dogs and have a coffe in their cafe. Faran and Miguel is the most humble and caring guys with such a big heat. It's beautiful to see how they take care of the dogs.

We had a very heart warming experience at this shelter as we learnt what a difference 2 guys can do. The dogs say it and I hope this shelter continues to expand and do great work. A must visit in Palomino and you can adopt even if you live abroad

The work that these guys do to look after the dogs is incredible. In order for them to keep doing this great work they have set up a great hub where you can have a quick bite to eat and a drink and also even make a donation to take the dogs walking. Great initiative and I would really recommend visiting during your time in Palomino
