Dr Luz Naranjo

For any looking to get STI/STD tests, I had a really good/easy experience with Dr. Luz Naranjo. I paid $28 USD via PayPal for the virtual intake appointment with Dr. Naranjo where she had me go through my medical history and, by the end of the appointment, her assistant sent me a script to bring to the lab to get my tests. In going through my history, we realized I was also due for a pap smear so, I was able to do that as well as STI testing (blood + swabs).Dr. Naranjo works with Laboratorio Clínico Bioreferencia, which has locations near both El Poblado and Laureles. You don't need an appointment so, I went to the Laureles location a little bit after they opened @ 6:30AM—I didn't have to wait at all and the process at the lab was just as easy as the intake. The doctor who conducted my exams spoke a bit of English and was very professional (as was everyone else I encounter in the lab). For the blood tests, swabs, & pap smear, I paid about $65 USD ($315.500 COP).

I can’t understate how clutch and professional this practice is. I was a little skeptical just because I’m new and never scheduled, paid, and had an appt over WhatsApp before. But this place is as advertised. They are very thorough, friendly, and communicative.Thanks so much guys!

I had a wonderful experience. I was able to be fit in the same day. It was worth the money. Dr. Luz took her time. She answered all my questions. She recommended specialists. The office was modern and clean. The receptionists were pleasant. I’m grateful to have found a good English speaking doctor!

I couldn't recommend Dr. Naranjo (and Nurse Cielo) more highly. She was professional while putting me at ease during a house call, and her knowledge of the technical side of English is absolutely perfect. It was a huge relief to have her guidance. Also, and this is where she gets 6 stars from me, I went to fill a prescription but had a difficult time finding a pharmacy with stock (and all in Spanish, which made it doubly difficult). Well, I texted Dr. Naranjo and both her and Nurse Cielo not only found me a 24-hour pharmacy (I had a travel deadline), but also confirmed the inventory with the pharmacist and reserved it for me for when I arrived later. That's above and beyond the call of duty, but so incredibly appreciated by me. I have no doubt you would have an equally good experience.

Dr. Naranjo is an amazing doctor. I have seen her a few times already. It's hard to find English speaking doctors in Medellin, so that was a bonus. She was able to come to my house for a check up and send me to various specialists for my needs. She's very friendly and knowledgeable! I highly recommend her services, wonderful doctor!

My issue was with the office administration. I corresponded with the office via Whatsapp. I was speaking with the office around 8:30AM on Monday. I advised that the earliest availability was Wednesday, and for a virtual session. I asked if there was any in-person availability. The assistant checked and returned saying there'd been a cancellation at 10:30 if I wanted. The assistant asked for information. I asked for an email to send the info. They provided me an email. They then asked if I could just text some of the information. No problem. Later that day, I sent an email to the office containing all of the info that had been asked for and the email was titled Nuevo Paciente Teo Eftimiades - Miercoles 1030." In this email

My review is on the appointment booking process.Felt like I'm speaking with a Nigerian prince.Example:What's wrong with you?Ok, we can talk to you via video in 4 days. Send me money to sketchy Gmail address. On PayPal.I asked to see doctor in person.In that case it'll be 2 weeks from now.

Wasted a whole day talking to the assistant about booking an appointment for some blood tests. After FINALLY managing to book the appointment he asks me to pay and then I find out they don’t do any tests. The booking was for some virtual appointment and then I need to find somewhere else to take the tests with a doctors note.Waste of time.Updated:Saying that you have an alliance with labs is not the same as offering the service you have on your website.And your assistant does not book them. I was told I would have to go to a place on a first come first serve basis.

I have been using Dr. Luz virtual appointments. I feel like it has been a complete waste of money and my time. there is communication issues with the assistant, and takes a while to respond back. My last appointment went like this: sent her assistant my lab results to review, get on a call after waiting 1 week for a 10 minute virutal appointment, and she says how can I help you?I expalin I need a review of my lab report again. I wait till she reviews for the first time, and tells me the most basic thing, that everything is good except cholesterol is high. Thankfully I am literate enough to have known this just by looking at the results. I had specific questions about my anti body test count, which she had no idea about, and didn't seem to give me any information whatsoever about anything. I don't know if its her or doctors are just becoming useless nowadays.

Dr.Luz is a very compassionate, very knowledgeable doctor. She is extremely caring and takes the time to go through everything with her patients and offers her support every step of the way. Her administrative staff were also quick to communicate and thorough in their job. My experience with this clinic exceeded expectations. If you need an English speaking doctor, I can assure you that Dr.Luz’s English is also perfect. I highly recommend Dr.Luz and her clinic.
