El Gnomo Gordo is an awesome little surf school and rental shop that I highly recommend. Ed is very knowledgeable and friendly, and helped us to select the appropriate boards for the waves and our ability level. The boards were of great quality and very well maintained. I had an amazing experience surfing with Ed. He knows what he is doing, and is a very patient instructor. I was able to stand up my first time out on the board. It was amazing! If you are at the Viajero hostel, or in the area in general, definitely recommend taking classes, or renting from El Gnomo Gordo Surf School.

Tomé clases y renté tabla y el servicio no pudo ser mejor. Maravillosas personas, profesionales en lo que hacen y dispuestos a pasar un gran rato compartiendo lo que saben de surf. Además la cerveza es deliciosa.

Love this place for its amazing staff, great selection and quality of boards (shortboards, funboards, and foamies) and knowledge of the local surf. The surf school showed us a beautiful, secret" point break with many more days glassy and/or fun than not

We had a very good surf time on two different spots in the sea! It was great fun even though it was hard to catch the correct waves in the beginning. It was a good support from the teacher. Ed helped us a lot and taught us the important things which we had to know before going into the water! Would really recommend that little surf school.

This is definately a good surf rental and school! Ed (the owner) knows what he is doing! The boards are in good shape and he takes care of it! Ed has always some time for a talk about surfing, the swell, the waves and everything you need to know. Very helpful!
