Herping Bahía Solano Tour

I did the night tour with my friend. Our guide was very friendly and so knowledgeable about all of the animals. We saw poisonous frogs, snakes, spiders, and tons of crabs. The walk was beautiful and ending the tough in a canoe was magical. Thank you so much! :)

I really clicked with Mailer, he's an amazing guy. I did the night tour and a day walk in the rainforest and I really enjoyed both. Mailer has a lifetime of passion for the forest and experience leading tours, so will be able to respectfullyshow you many different kinds of wildlife up close and teach you about the forest.

This was a beautiful tour! Mailer was knowledgeable and funny. He spoke great English and taught us about edible plants on the trail. We ended at a gorgeous waterfall with a crystalline pool. I highly highly recommend!

This was a fantastic tour we did accompanied by Mailer. He’s the real deal, he knows the species provenance, scientific names, ecology and conservation status and strategies, as well as their behaviour. This isn’t just a fun tour where you come out of it with new sights and an story, but with knew knowledge and appreciation for the region’s unique flora and fauna.This tour is a great example of sustainable tourism. Worth noting is the great work with conservation of snakes and the programs for local kids in the community Mailer does.This is highly recommended and sets the bar on what quality ecotourism looks like.

Tomé el tour nocturno y toda una experiencia que recomiendo 100%, yo tuve la oportunidad de ir con un grupo pequeño y a pesar de adentrarse en la selva de noche noche y ver animales exóticos e incluso venenosos Mailer es muy cuidadoso y sabe de lo que habla, conoce las especies y te hace sentir seguro en todo momento. Recomiendo ampliamente el tour además trata de crear conciencia en el cuidado de la flora y fauna.

Brilliant night hike through the jungle, one of the most special experiences of our whole trip to Colombia. Mailer is an excellent guide, and very knowledgeable about the different species of plants and animals, along with great care and respect for the environment. He is also really skilled at finding snakes/spiders/scorpions at night! We saw many different species including an endemic frog that you can only see in the Bahia Solano area. Bring enough water for the hike as it is moderately challenging and it gets hot even at night. At the end you get a ride back to town in a traditional wooden canoe which is amazing! Thank you Mailer for a great experience.
