Nueva Lengua - Bogotá

Nueva Lengua was a great place for me to learn Spanish in Bogotá with its central location and tailored coursework to fit my schedule. My teacher Daniela was professional and knowledgeable, providing classes and educational experiences appropriate to my proficiency level and learning goals. The school's extracurricular activities, such as cooking class or weekend excursion to hot springs, are a great way to meet other students, see the area around Bogotá, and learn Colombian culture. All in all, a great experience.

This is a great school. The teachers are excellent, the staff is very friendly and the facility is very comfortable. I have been to many Spanish schools and I have to say Nueva Lengua is one of the best.I had the pleasure to be with a group of students from Brazil Germany and the US. Our teacher Kevin did a terrific job. Clear instruction and he was very patient with us.I recommend Nueva Lengua. You will enjoy your time with them.

I really loved learning at Nueva Lengua and would definitely come back! I love how it felt like a community and everyone that works at the school was willing to help & practice with you. I felt safe & comfortable everyday in my class. The teachers all take the time to explain things thoroughly and are kind. In addition, it was really great that the school organized activities for after class. It made it easy to meet other people who attend the school and see more of Bogota (:

I signed up for one week of the program of Spanish and Dance in each of the three cities: Bogotá, Cartagena, and Medellín in this order. First of all, I was very impressed that even before I arrived in Colombia, I received an account login info to access online materials that I could study on my own.As to the in-person classes, I liked how they were structured: 3 hours of Grammar with one teacher and one hour of Communication with another teacher. So everyday we could work with two different styles of teaching and speaking. Our grammar class was very small so the teacher Nicoll could accommodate our needs as to what literary works by a Colombian author that we would like to study. I really enjoyed reading out loud and discussing El Amor en Los Tiempos de Cólera" by Gabriel Garcia Márquez. In the communication class

Nueva Lengua was a fantastic place to expand my Spanish. The intensive course massively improved my understanding and speaking of the language. The teachers and staff were all extremely kind, professional, fun, and down to earth. The activities offered were super enriching to my experience in Colombia. It’s a great social hub to meet other travelers and be immersed in the culture, and I’m so glad I started off my travels through Colombia by taking classes here. Highly recommend :)

My experience at Nueva Lengua was fantastic. What a warm and welcoming place! It was so helpful to study Spanish intensively. The teachers were clear, positive, passionate and created an optimal environment for learning. The daily experiences offered after classes were so FUN and engaged us with the vibrant community of Bogotá. I hope to return soon to continue improving my language skills and understanding of Colombian culture.

This was a fantastic school to learn and improve Spanish. The teachers are kind, patient and very knowledgeable not only about the Spanish language, but also about the history and cultural details of Colombia. For the first week, my teacher for the main part of the morning was David and the for second week, it was Daniela. They were both fantastic and had a good way of keeping us engaged and keeping the class on track, despite the students trying to go off-topic! The cultural activities were amazing and well-organized. As a solo traveller, this is what I enjoyed the most, as we had the opportunity to explore places with classmates and teachers from the school. The free dance and cooking classes were thoroughly enjoyable. Isaac and Monica were fun and animated. They also spoke clearly so that everyone would understand, regardless of their level of Spanish. I highly recommend Nueva Lengua!

I cannot say enough about the Nueva Lengua school in Bogotá. Starting with Ivan as my first contact, with my teachers Julio, Alejandra Nicoll and Nicoll, they were all incredible people and professionals.I highly recomend the school if you want to learn Spanish language and also learn about the beautiful Colombain culture theough their weekly activities.The cooking and dance classes were so much fun with teachers Milena and Isaac! I would be back very soon and thank you for your welcome and a great experience.My Spanish is much better.Thank you ❤️.

I participated in a 1 week intensive Spanish course at Nueva Lengua in Bogotá. All the teachers and staff were kind and professional from registration to goodbye. I learned a lot during my 4 hours each day with a good mix of grammar, conversation, and vocabulary building. The school building is a comfortable environment where everyone you encounter is encouraging you to use your new language skills and meeting you where you're at! The neighborhood is safe and walkable with an awesome little chocolate shop/cafe around the corner. I will continue lessons virtually this year and hope to return to Nueva Lengua soon. A wonderful place to learn Spanish! I did Nueva Lengua’s Spanish & Business course to help prepare for a new job—and I found it incredibly helpful.The school does a very good job of placing you in the appropriate class for your level of Spanish. And from there, the curriculum is well thought through and the teachers are very knowledgeable and engaging. They answer all the many questions—grammar or otherwise—from students and also find ways to engage you in local history / culture while you’re learning.On top of all this, they organize excellent cultural activities every afternoon. It’s a great way to meet other students and learn about local history / culture. I highly recommend Nueva Lengua!
