I've eaten here before with a larger group and was able to take more dishes. Overall, including what I remember from before, the food is great.Today, with just my wife and I, we had three dishes. First was their sweet potato leaves stir fried in a spicy bean sauce. That's a clear 5 stars but needs to be eaten with rice. We started with sharing one bowl and ended with ordering a 2nd larger bowl of rice.2nd dish is their brinjal with chili garam. They offered to put the spice separately as my wife was concerned on the spice level. Another dish that goes so well with rice again. Brinjal is grilled first so not oily but a bit tasteless without the sauce (as can be expected).Last dish was the Chuan fish with ginger and basil. I didn't really like it as the sauce was too sweet and also the fish wasn't as crispy as I had expected. That was probably because of the sauce and I had a different dish in mind. But the sauce really was too sweet and overwhelmed the fish.I also had their calamansi lime juice with sour plum. Nice and thick and went perfectly with the food.Overall, I'll definitely come back but with more people to be able to order a larger spread :-)

The place was packed when we arrived (the restaurant seats about 8-9 tables), but we were given a seat within 15 minutes. We ordered our dishes while waiting and the food took about another 15 minutes to arrive. It was well worth the wait! My kids enjoyed the chap chye, babi pongteh, ngor hiang and kueh pie tee (remember to ask for them to not put chilli if you can’t take spice). The salted vegetable duck soup was flavourful too. We also ordered extra sambal to go with the dishes. We rounded up the meal with cendol which had fragrant and thick coconut milk and gula Melaka. Do note that they are only operating till the end of this week, and then they will be closed for renovation!

I loveee the pai tee here! The outer ‘shell’ was so crispy and it just crumbles in the mouth. The chicken was very fragrant. Cendol was alright and ponteh was more to the sweet side.

My first time trying this restaurant and was lucky to get a table during lunch time peak hour after a 15mins wait. Do try to make reservation before heading down as it can be crowded even for weekdays! Food here were nice and authentic and do try their salted veg duck soup! Chendol was another highlights for this restaurant. Service was good and prompt with ample parking outside.

One of the local favorites for decent Melaka nyonya food. The menu is different from Nancy’s Kitchen, it’s home cooked style with reasonable pricing. Eg the sweet potato leave fried with tau cheong and sambal was so fantastic - saltish yet full of umami with just the right chili kick and tartness from the veg.. ahhh..
